An Argon Electrosurgery machine valued at £16,000 was supplied, representing a major advancement in surgical oncology capability. This was the first machine of its kind available in a state cancer or general hospital in Sri Lanka. The system uses high-frequency electrical current combined with argon gas to precisely cut tissue and control bleeding during surgery. It enables surgeons to perform delicate cancer procedures with improved visibility, reduced blood loss, and enhanced precision. This technology significantly improves surgical outcomes, reduces operating time, and supports faster patient recovery.
