Two specialized blood transfusion pumps were supplied to the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit to ensure the safe, precise, and controlled administration of blood products. Bone marrow transplant patients often require repeated transfusions due to compromised immune systems and reduced blood cell production caused by intensive chemotherapy and transplant procedures. Unlike manual transfusion methods, these pumps regulate flow rates with high accuracy, preventing complications such as fluid overload, clotting risks, or rapid infusion reactions.
